The festivities start on July 3rd, with the Youth Chorus and the Choral Masters' performance of Mozart's Requiem 8PM at Sayville Congregational Church, stop in at the Phoenix or call the Council office for tickets. Wine and cheese reception...and on the 4th is a Pops show that promises to be fun for the whole family! Brookhaven Amphitheater, FREE (2.00 car parking)

There's a new installation at Gallery on the Hill...make sure you catch the "Americana" show before it's gone! Next show...nautical!

Speaking of galleries..have you visited us at Phoenix Gallery in Bellport yet? Artists...become a member of this exciting cooperative and join us for a "New Beginning"! Calling all artists: We would like to extend an invitation to all of our artists who participated in the New Beginnings Show, or who signed up for a membership at the Phoenix with us, to exhibit (for free) more work on the walls of the Phoenix Gallery, as well as in the bins, during the Artists on the Lane event. Drop off and self-hanging is Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2 from 11am to 4pm. Please respond by email (asap) to reserve a wall space, and please limit your works to 2 (two) extra items for the wall so that we can allow as many artists to exhibit as possible. There are a few empty spaces that are available on a first come first served basis. Along with wall space, there are 4 art bins for unframed works--feel free to fill the art bins. If you do choose to exhibit, please print out the attached inventory list to hand in with your works. All works must have NAME AND PRICE ON EACH ITEM. The Inventory List will have your name, title of work and price for each piece.

Also... Phoenix Gallery Class--Watercolor Course by Mary Jane Stevens, starting July 6, 2009.

Speaking of Bellport...this weekend brings us an exciting sidewalk art show! ARTISTS ON THE LANE--Fourth of July, Bellport Lane, Bellport, from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Don't miss it!

From the Patchogue Arts Council--The Second Annual Fundraiser for the Patchogue Arts Council. Tickets $75, 2 for $100. The theme is WPA- honoring the WPA artists from the time period of the Great Depression. The plans for the event are amazing.!!Sunday, July 12 from 4-7PM. You do not want to miss this event! Checks made payable to "The Greater Patchogue Foundation" a tax deductible 501(3)-3.

Plans for the first Patchogue Arts Biennial are moving along and there is much to report. The Biennial will now run from Saturday October 3 through Saturday October 24. While originally concieved as a one day outdoor event, it will now be located indoors in a 10,000 sq ft pristine space within Briarcliffe College, Main St., Patchogue. We are very excited at this development as it will substantially increase the event's exposure to the public. The space will be subdivided into 5 galleries. The council has also planned for a one day sculpture garden on the grounds of Briarcliffe on the day of the opening reception, October 3.

And coming down the pike...our new website is almost completed! Your webbie here is trying to figure out how to make all the forms and prospectuses both printable as well as fillable out (is that even grammatically correct? I don't think so!) online! Until I get the hang of Visual Basic 2008, please see the website for upcoming shows, and email us so we can mail you membership and prospectus info...I'll have them up soon, I promise! In the meantime, I've included attachments until I get this up and running for those who get this via email!

I'll be back in just a few days with lots more from the BAHC...and I look forward to seeing you at the Choral Festival!
